The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home with a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family cash flow won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for nsfas status funding and need not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are learning or plan to research at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
